Despite all the heat on the Internet, Desmond Scott plans to stay in the social media kitchen. A new “Get to Know Me” video made that clear on Tuesday (Feb. 3). At the end of last month, he resumption of content sharing in the middle of a divorce with Kristy ‘Sarah’ Scott. Now he’s consolidating his online presence without the “chaotic” influencer. And even if he didn’t spill any bursting tea in his new video, his behavior alone has fans chatting and – in some cases – begging for more THIS Desmond Scott! Is this calm and smooth Des the REAL Des? His supporters seem to think so.
2020 was the year that Desmond and Kristy Scott’s social media presence took off. Two refined parents, a beautiful wife with a clumsy mind and a FIONE father who is gifted in the kitchen and behind a camera. Fans fell in love with life at the house, their “gremlins,” as Kristy Sarah calls Vance and Westin, and how the couple embraced each other’s quirks. Desmond’s laughter in reaction to Kristy’s cake, costume and pranks became a signature of the Scotts.
@kristy.sarah the last one is my all time favorite
It’s been a month and a few days since Kristy Scott filed for divorce in Texas. She accused him of infidelity in the paperwork, and after the news hit the Internet a few days later, he publicly apologized and took responsibility. But he also admitted that he filed for divorce and that made some fans forgive. A day after he apologized, someone filmed him making out with a 24-year-old influencer at a Houston cocktail bar.
This might go without saying, but in this day and age? Yeah, you WILL NOT hear that same high-pitched laugh in Desmond’s new solo content. No more “Krisssttyyyyyy”. Instead, he has fans on YouTube like @Asdfghjklsemicolon who say his new “get to know me” video looks like “be at a really cool jazz club…so relax and unwind.” Below his Instagram teaser For the same intro video, fans also noted his new behavior.
@jasminemikayla wrote: “It looks refreshed, I totally agree.”
@craftingwithcassy, “Yooo, I’ve never really heard you talk. Ok, I see you coming out of your shell Des. Let’s go 🙌🏾”
“That’s all he ever said!! I feel like his personality was in the shadows and I don’t blame Kristy at all. I love him and that’s the dynamic they built. It’s just a shame that the split seems to have affected her while he seems happier than ever. I hope he still treats her with respect during this time! I hope they both enjoy being single and learning for a while,” @simply_brittny commented.
@first_gen1 added, “I didn’t even realize that guy had a personality like that, he was so in control! Head over, big guy! That man looks happy!”
“It’s like he can finally be himself, like he’s free lol, good for him,” wrote @lordlizzz.
@isaiah.zeia said: “Why all of a sudden I feel like he’s himself. 💯 like he doesn’t need to code-switch when he speaks now.”
And it’s not just the voice that’s sweet. These are the cuts, the beard and the booty. Take THIS video for example. Dad fans have always fallen for him, but now the 32-year-old bachelor girls can actively crave and they are.
If you watch Desmond Scott on anything, the way women throw themselves at him
And I don’t judge. They’re not wrong, they’re actually right!
But I’m a man, I thought women had more compassion!?!?

Male fans also slide with comments like“Brother looks relieved,” by @dleeprobarber. A few, like Kevin Gatestake an even stronger approach to supporting Desmond.
So we know he knows how to cook. And he plans to do more of that, recipes, how-to series and all that. In his introductory video, Desmond even talked about naming his new community solo, saying he didn’t like the suggestion, “The Dez Cooking Club.” Cooking, he said, began with spending time in the kitchen with his mother when he was a child. The love remained and he became a self-taught chef. No professional training, just passion and notes of difficult meals between him and his mother.
In addition to teaching boyfriends and husbands how to cook, Scott said he will share content about his lifestyle on his accounts. He loves fashion and loves being a dad to his boys. Both of those will be part of his new content, he said. But ultimately, the kitchen will take center stage.
“I’m here to teach your man how to come and cook for you. Desmond always wants husbands and men to cook for their wives. I think you all need some help in the kitchen.”
An hour later, Desmond Scott’s YouTube video had garnered more than 5,000 views and more than 200 comments. Fans have mostly saved her energy for not mentioning Kristy Scott, or the details of their ongoing divorce, and the viral kiss with Marissa Springer.
